Bridge successful, but can't logout!

I have just bridged Coppermine 1.3.3. and PHPBB 2.0.11. Everything seems to have worked fine, except now I can't logout. I click on logout and it says 'You are already logged in !'. This is true of the PHPBB, too. I just click 'Logout' on the board, and then it just refreshes -- but I'm still logged in.

Can someone help me? I think its probably a cookie problem or something.

P.S. I see that I was supposed to include a test user account, but I can't logout to create one! So I apologize!

Try dumping your cache. Not sure if it will help, but it's worth a try :-)

I tried clearing my cache and the cookies for the site, and it still won't let me logout.

Any other ideas? Could I have set something wrong?

Try using a different browser to log in to create the test account.

I tried to register and login on another computer. I had no problem at the boards registering and logging in and out.

When I would click register or login at the gallery, i get a timeout on the redirect page. It says that maybe the cookies are blocked (this is a completely different computer, though). And it will not let me logout. If I bounce back to the boards myself, I can logout and in with no trouble.

In both cases I am using Mozilla (most recent) and I created the test account with IE on this computer (the one that originated all the problems).

Before we proceed, you should upgrade your phpbb to I think it is 2.0.15.

It has nothing to do with Coppermine, but rather the security of your forum since that version and the intervening ones have had security issues. You really need to stay on top of updates if you want to continue using phpbb. Basically, your work will be for nothing if the forum gets hacked.

Thank you for the advice. I am currently getting my database backed up and I will be upgrading when my host has dumped that for me.

Now, do you have any suggestions for the logout issue I am having? Could I have set something wrong? Or will 2.0.15 fix this for me?

Not sure even if:
- in 2.0.13, a critical bug in session has been fixed
- in 2.0.14, session has been reset if authentication fails
- in 2.0.15, a fix has been applied to session id generation

Anyway it's very important to update your version, as worms used google to find and hack automatically your forums. From 2.0.11 to 2.0.15 nothing has been changed relative to the DB.
