Can I change the upload directory.
« on: April 14, 2005, 10:25:32 pm »

I am wanting to change the upload directory to something like images.domain.com instead of domain.com/gallery/albums/etc

How can this be done if possible?

If that is not possible can I at least ftp the files to the images.domain.com and the entry into coppermine somehow.

Not sure I totally understand what you are trying to do  ??? Is "images.domain.com" on the same server. I assume you are using something like cpanel and "images.domain.com" is equal to domain.com/images.

Given that I am still confused with what you are trying to do. I use the subdomain gallery.krkeegan.com. I still upload to /home/krkeegan/www/gallery/album but from the website side it appears that my images are served from gallery.krkeegn.com/album.

The short answer is yes you could change your album directory. But it might be helpful to know why you want to do that.

Well my server's bandwidth is high and I was wanting to put half of the images on the other server so I could distribute the bandwidth.

You can't do that. Search the board for previous discussions on this.
