don't know where error is coming from

I'm getting the following error when I visit the main page of my gallery:

Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database !

MySQL said: Access denied for user: 'fansites_derek@localhost' (Using password: YES)
It was working days ago but all of a sudden that came up!

I checked the config.inc.php file and all the database info is correct.

So why am I getting this error?
Where is it coming from?

All help will be very appreciated!

If you have made no changes, maybe there's an issue with your webhost. They might be able to help.
