HELP
« on: March 19, 2005, 10:39:31 pm »

Hi, I just joined here and I have no idea how to even post on these forums(which are very different from any other type of forum I have ever been on). I need serious help. I looked on the site and I could not find help. I wanted an image gallery for my website but I tried downloading this and it sent me to a mirror site and told me to download one and I did and nothing else happened. Someone please tell me what I am doing wrong and if this program is free.

First, yes this is entirely free.

When downloading from the mirror site you will have to save it to your hard drive, and then unzip the contents.
If nothing happens from the mirror you chose, try a different one.

There are instructions what to do in the docs folder of the download, and also online via the 'documentation' link near the top of this page.

It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

If you're having issues to even download the coppermine package I recommend you take a look at the tutorial "Download, unpack & upload coppermine".

P.S. In the future, please use a better subject for your posting than "help" - this is no different than on any other forum/bbs that I know: you should use a subject that summarizes what your posting is about. A generic "help" would apply to all support requests, so the subject line would be of little help for all who search/browse the board
