Maybe password protected albums in the next version will let you do what you want.

There's no scheduled release date, we're currently preparing the beta release (some bugs need to be ironed out still). You're welcome to take a look at the board CPG 1.4 Testing/Bugs - there's even information on how to obtain the devel version, you're welcome to test it as well (but keep in mind that it's not recommended yet for production use and that it comes with absolutely no support at all!).
