Problems sending e-cards to hotmail accounts
« on: March 01, 2005, 04:09:39 pm »

I tried to send e-cards to 2 valid hotmail accounts, but I get a message stating: "invalid email address"

Has anyone else had this problem, and is there a way to fix it.

I found out that the problem was that the 2 e-mail accounts where from different providers.  I use Yahoo and my Friend uses Hotmail.  I sent myself an e-card to my old hotmail account and it worked.  Is there a way to have members send e-cards to people with different e-mail providers?

Hey guys I found out why it didn't work earlier.  It turns out it saw the e-mails as invalid, because they were copied and pasted in.  However for some weird reason it worked after I typed them in, even with different e-mail providers.  Hopefully this will be helpful for some people.

It may be because when you copied the address, there was an unseen character, like space or tab that got copied/pasted. That would make the address invalid.

Thank you for sharing how you resolved the problem.
