Real Newbie Question

Sorry to sound so stupid, but could someine fill me in on the basic structure of catagories and albums
I assume albums are subsets of catagories?

Example

Site is about baking

catagory is pies
Album is cherry
album is apple

Catagory is Cake
Album is Chocolate
Album is Vanilla

Correct?

Yes, categories hold albums and albums hold pics.

note: An album can also be in no category.
