Yesterday I thought I'd try coppermine for the first time, and I have to say I love it.

However I wanted to change the color scheme so I had a look at the 'styleguide' and now every time I go to my main idex page it displays the styleguide.

So how do I turn this off, and get it back to like it used to be?

this is caused by your cookie.  just type '?theme=default' at the end of your url, and you will go back to the site default theme.  You only have to do this once.

You can safely delete any themes you don't want, except the classic, which you should keep in case of errors, to check against.
