Creating a photo search for photos used on a bulletin board.
« on: February 14, 2005, 01:02:12 am »

We use a simple machines forum bridged to coppermine. Our forum has had over 10,000 photos posted to it over the years.  I want to import many of these photos into coppermine, but create a search that looks for the photos within threads of the forum. I have been vey successful doing that for photos that are used in the forum that wre linked to within the coppermine gallery by using this format within imagedisplay.php.

http://www.mywebsite/board/index.php\?action=search2;search=$picture_url \" target=\"_blank\">Click to search forum for picture</a>

What I need though, is code where I can replace $picture_url  with something that returns ONLY the file name, and not the path and the file.  Yes, it works with the path, but I want to archive COPIES of our old photos in coppermine, using the same file names, but be able to search for instances of the files, that exist in the old file path.  Clear as mud? :)

Thats O.K., I found my own way. {$CURRENT_PIC_DATA['filename']}  works very well.
