Feature requests
« on: October 11, 2003, 11:39:33 am »

If you have any feature requests for the PostNuke port, please post them here.
On my option list are some sideblocks with the obvious options as: Random picture.
Last album/photo changed.
Most popular album/photo.

Are these blocks wanted or offers Coppermine enough options by itself ?

After checking out the first release of Gallery 2, i finally decided that Gallery definetely needed to be replaced on my website by Coppermine. Converted all the pictures (>3000) and am now running full-blown pnCPG. Still found some minor problems in my postnuke-hack but think have fixed them all by now.
I am nearly done with version 2.2 of this little module.
Changes are :
1. Option to set default language in administration
2. Option to override default language when calling the module (not valid for side-blocks)
3. Corrections for the random sideblock (it did not show the last changed albums correctly).

While I am at it, if there are some specific requests (which are relative easy to do), please let me know. I might add them to this version.

A feature I would like to see is in the permissions area.  It would be nice to be able to select a list of users to see a certain gallery. Instead of just registered, etc.  Be able to have a permission and simply add user names to that list, simply.

Even I would like somethinng like this, Which can aloso be achieved the the user being able to set up another password where he can allw friends to see his gallery but they cannot change his gallery (only user mode).

For example, I would like to add some "babe" pics into a gallery.  But given the tenor of my site and the type visitors that is not a good idea.  However, if I had a permissions level where I could list certain users on an individual basis permission to see that particular gallery, that would be great.

why don't you just make them members of a new group and then set permissions accordingly?

Hmmm.  I am not advanced enough yet on Permissions to know how to do this.  I can set up a new group, for example call it Babes Group, or something.  But how do I set permissions for this?

album properties (making sure "Users can have private albums (Note: if you switch from 'yes' to 'no' any current private albums will become public)" is enabled in coppermine config.
This is the feature requests thread, please don't post support related questions to it any more.
