Profiles?

i have a question... is there anyway to link the profiles so that they're the same as the postnuke profiles?   that way the users won't have to make a whole buncha different profiles. i dunno if this is the right place to put this or not so if it isn't sorry!

Again my aim is not to touch default code if i can avoid it.
So this is something which will not be enabled by me.

Also, please post here or at nuy.info, hate this copy & pasting answers.
