Thumbs, normal and original picture in own catalog
« on: January 07, 2005, 12:07:09 pm »

Is there a way of making the thumbs, normalpictures and original pictures having a own catalog? Now all files are in the same album catalog.

no, there's no mod available that stores the thumbnails and intermediate files in another folder than the one your original file resides in, and I wouldn't recommend that. After all, the location of the files is not to be tampered with, you should leave them alone. Coppermine keeps track of the file locations, so the site admin doesn't have to. Why bother?

Well... the reason why I bother, is that I use Mambo, and there we have a component to show a random picture. When I tell it to use the directory where coppermine images are stored, it then will show the thumbs sometimes. And they look very pixelated. Dont like that :D

I don't think that has anything to do with where the files are stored, but how mambo handles them.
