Automatic user gallery?
« on: December 28, 2004, 08:28:22 am »

Hi !

The idea is that, when you upload a image to the car model album, it would make a copy to your own album.
Why? So people doesn't need to go trought the whole gallery to find all pics uploaded by certain user.

Is this kind of function in allready, or do I need to switch it on?

Feature doesn't exist yet. If you need it, code it. Having duplicate entries is nonsense (and a waste of resources). The next version of coppermine (devel aka cpg1.4.x) will feature files in multiple albums based on keyword reference though, maybe that's what you're looking for.

one PhP gallery that I'm using has something called "Associate to category".
This means that I can show one file in many categories (albums).

Ih that gallery I have to do te associations by hand.
I was hopeing that coppermine would have this function in it.

no release date/schedule yet. We're planning to have a feature freeze for cpg1.4 soon (within a week or two), then a beta version will be released, and the english language file will be send to the translators. The current devel version (cpg1.4.0) is pretty stable already, you're welcome to test it - refer to the cpg1.4 testing/bugs board for details.
