Album More Then One User Can Upload Too
« on: December 20, 2004, 12:15:03 am »

Allright I read the FAQ and didn't really see an answer to this in there. I have two users on my site. Is there a way they would be able to upload to the public albums I created? The FAQ made it seem as though even visitors could do it and I dont want that happening just registered users.

Assign your 2 users to a group. Then in album properties, select the group that you want to give access to upload.

Or if you want any registered user to upload, do it in Groups management.

Under the album properties, make sure you have visitors can upload files set to yes.

Users STILL need to have group permissions in order to upload.

Change "Visitors Can" album options and just use groups settings.

Thank you that fixed it. It would be a good idea to make that more clear in an updated verson. When I see visitors I don't think registered users.

This is all in the documentation, that's where it get's clear. You should have read it. However, in the next version there will be help icons that link to the relevant parts of the documentation to make it even easier for those who are reluctant to read the full docs.
