help - After upload pics cpm sees no pics

I need help! I have uploaded a lot of pics in a folder under albums.
The folder I have set to 777 - I also made a new album in coppermine
After choosing "batch add pictures" I see the new album but when I choose this cpm says: There are no pics founds (or something like that - i'm using the dutch version)
What do i wrong? Who can help me?

did you ftp-upload your pics into the userpics folder? You mustn't, you never were meant to (in no coppermine version). Refer to the coppermine documentation for details.
