user table empty

I have set up coppermine 1.1d with osc2nuke 6.9b and everything worked fine and when i went to login to edit phots i keep getting kicked back to the login screen.  I then checked users in coppermine and message poped up telling me that the user table is emply.  I searched this forum and have applied basically everything that i found to no avail.
