I too have the same problem. Oddly enough, coppermine was working fine about two weeks ago when I first installed it. However, now the exact same images, other images, images in other album directories, etc. all won't show up at any size over 1000px wide. But at or under 1000px wide, it works. Basically I tried one at 1300x974, 602kb and it worked. But at 1400x1050, 685kb it doesn't work.
I'm on broadband, and these things are taking less than a few seconds to process.
In config, my max width/height of intermediate: 400
Max size for uploaded files (KB) 1600
Max width or height for uploaded pictures/videos (pixels): 2048
