Bonjour,

Je suppose que nous somme nombreux en France a utiliser cette super galerie de photo.
Mais je suis frustré de ne pouvoir utiliser certain mod expliqué sur ce forum faute de comprendre parfaitement l'anglais.
Ce n'est pas la traduction automatique qui m'aide beaucoup...
Alors j'aimerais savoir si certain d'entre vous pourrait être intéressé pour ouvrir un forum qui nous permettrait de nous aidez mutuellement en traduisant (pour ceux qui savent) certain sujet exposé ici . ( mod truc et astuce etc...)

j'ai déjà un forum I.p.b ou je pourrais ajouter une catégorie... ou bien souhaiteriez vous peut-être créer avec moi un nouveau forum rien que sur le thème de coppermine ? (avec l'autorisation du présent site évidemment)

I suppose that us summons many in France has to use this super gallery of photograph. But I am frustrated to be able to use certain MOD explained on this forum fault of including/understanding English perfectly.
It is not the machine translation which helps me much... Then I would like to know so some among you could be interested to open a forum which would allow us mutually help us by translating (for those which know) certain subject exposed here. (MOD trick and easy way etc...)
I have already a forum I.p.b or I could add a category... or would perhaps wish to create with me a new forum only on the topic of coppermine? (with the authorization of this site obviously)

There have been efforts before of users who don't speak english to have an off-site support board, but it died quickly because there were only users looking for help, but none that actually provided support. I don't want to spoil this for you, it might be worth a try.
If you agree to moderate it I will gladly create a sub-board on this forum with french support/help. The only thing we ask for is that you do all moderation and that you make french users understand that they can only post in their language in the sub-board that is suppossed to be created, and that the "regular" coppermine support staff can't/won't look into it.

In return you (or whoever will actually do support/moderation) will of course be granted moderator powers within this particular sub-board.

I cannot engage in such "an adventure" only. I thus will wait to see whether I have answers here... You propose to me (if I included/understood well) to do this directly here? Perhaps you could start by creating a forum "helps in French" I do not have say "assistance" but "mutual aid"

thus, somebody who would read and include/understand English could translate the subject of a "MOD" and add it on this French forum.

obviously, for the questions of a general nature, it would be necessary to use only the English forum. As I did on my other subject by using an automatic translator. The French forum of mutual aid could, in this case, to intervene at the time of an incomprehension of a sentence for example.

doesn't that cost anything to try the experiment?

I will not start a sub-board in a language I don't speak without someone volunteering as moderator for this sub-board, as people will start posting questions in french there and get frustrated if nobody answers. That's why it's mandatory for me to have a moderator on such a board. As long as nobody volunteers to be a moderator on a french board (even for a limited period), I will not start it. The person who is suppossed to be a moderator doesn't necessarily have to know Coppermine or PHP very well, but he/she whould speak french as native language and some english as well to communicate with other supporters who speak only english. Please try to understand my point of view, I hope I have made my point.

Si j'ai bien compris "gaugau" veut bien créer un forum "français" mais il veut que le modérateur de ce forum connaisse aussi bien l'anglais que le français .

Ce n'est pas mon cas.

j'attend donc qu'un petit Français qui passerait pas là et qui serait capable de tenir ce poste.
aller aller ! vous avez un peu de temps ? soyez partenaire de cette idée. Je crois que tous le monde y trouverait son compte !
