What to do with folders after batch add?
« on: November 01, 2004, 12:44:42 pm »

Sure this is a really basic question....but once you've batch added files from folders within the "Albums" folder.....are these files then redundant, or must they be kept there?

Basically, when you batch-add from a folder, does Coppermine copy these files to it's own directory structure, or does it link to these original files?

Hope you can help,

Ben

Leave the files alone - Coppermine creates links to them.  Delete the files, you break Coppermine.

Which means you should think about the folder structure, probably mirroring the category/sub-cat/album structure is the easiest to manage.
