Blank page after installation completes successfully

I have installed coppermine 1.3 and subsequently 1.3.2 on a site hosted by globat.  The installation goes fine, I setup the mySQL db, add username/pw etc.  At the end I get the "Coppermine is setup......"  and I click on the "Let's Go" button. When I go to index.php or login.php I get a blank page and no error message.

Does anyone know what is wrong? I have never installed coppermine on a hosted site before so I am new to this. I have installed it locally and it worked fine.

Have you searched the forums yet?  A blank page after installation has been discussed before.

yes  I have searched the forum but I couln't find a fix. I have changed ftp client, I have changed file/folder privelages but still nothing.

If you are self-hosted, this is most probably an issue with server setup.  The above thread talks about it.
