Is it possible Registerd Users making Albums in Categorys?
« on: October 04, 2004, 05:59:20 pm »

Hi all,

iīm just trying the Coppermine Gallery an have a question i havenīt solved right now:

Is there a way, that registerd users can create an Album in a existing Category on their own?

I mean for example:

I (as Admin) create a Category with the name of my company e.g. ABC.
Now I want, that the registerd Users can place Albums in there from e.g. meetings, trainings etc.
Structure: Company "ABC" -- > Album1, Album2, Album3 etc.

Not the way they can do it in the user galleries, because there the structure is: User1--> Album1, Album2 // User2--> Album1, etc.

Thanks a lot for your support

No, the user can only create albums inside his/her personal gallery.  The admin must create public albums and grant upload permissions to the groups to allow posting.

This is covered in the documentation and discussed in these forums a lot.
