I'm getting the "Warning your browser does not accept script's cookies" message as well. I've checked my server date & time. I've checked my php.ini file for the two things mentioned in another thread (I suspect this is where the problem is, but not specifically those two things), and I've checked/changed my cpg132_config cookie path/information to what you said it should be.

None of this is working for me. I am on a Windows 2000 server running in ISAPI mode. I don't think it is a browser problem, but I recently ran Spybot Search & Destroy (I have since removed it). I use Firefox and IE (same with both). It also happens when I'm directly logged into the server via Terminal Services.

Any suggestions? It started happening after I had some issues with IIS. I've checked the settings and PHP is setup correctly for that domain. All of my other sites using SMF are working fine. I run two Coppermine installations and both are having this problem.

So... I am pretty sure it's a php.ini problem. =/

I'm not sure what was different, but using an older version of php.ini fixed this.

Well, I'm not a server-admin, I'm just hosted by a webspaceprovider - so I can't edit/change the php.ini and I think my provider wouldn't either.

There must be an other solution for this issue, going to be the right one for me.

Nun ja, ich bin auf einem Webhoster und habe dort die CPG1.3.2 installiert. Das Problem mit dem Offline-Schalten habe ich bereits behoben, habe via phpMyAdmin das fehlende DB-Feld hinzugefügt.

Allerdings sagt mir mein Browser zu Hause andauernd die oben genannte  Fehlermeldung (Cookie-Probleme). Ich habe mit sonstigen Anwendungen keine Probleme (phpBB, usw.).

Ich nutze zu Hause WinXP und den IE6 und habe zusätzlich als FireWall ZoneAlarm laufen. Daran kann es doch nicht liegen, oder? Macht ja auch sonst keine Probleme.

Außerdem habe ich noch XP-AntiSpy drauf, aber ich glaube ebenfalls nicht, dass das kleine Tool irgendwas damit zu tun hat.

Ich wäre euch sehr dankbar, wenn ihr mir per Email ( BlueSun@aonmail.at ), oder aber hier per PM alle Ihnen bekannten Ursachen für das Problem nennen könntet - am besten gleich nen Lösungshinweis dazu.

Seltsam ist, dass es bei mir auf der Arbeit wunderbar funktioniert. (Win2K, IE6)

Nur möchte ich die Bilder von zu Hause aus verwalten können, und das ist mir so nicht möglich, da ich mich nicht einmal richtig einloggen kann.

Well, I'm hosted by my webspaceprovider and I've installed CPG1.3.2 on my account. The problem known as "Can't set Gallery offline" is already fixed - I've added the missing database row.

Anyway, there's still the problem with the cookies (Warning your browser does not accept script's cookies). I'm wondering, 'cause I've never had any problems with that. A phpBB-forum is running on the same webspace (other database) and I don't have any problems to login/-out or something else.

I'm using WinXP and the IE6. Additional I'm using the software firewall "ZoneAlarm", I've allowed anything for the site where my gallery should run soon. So I don't think, that this is the reason for that problem. There have never been any kind of problems with my local software and the software used by/on webservers.

Also, I'm using "XP-AntiSpy", but I don't think that this small tool must be blamed for that. I've checked all options.

I would appreciate it, if you can tell me (via email -> BlueSun@aonmail.at , or via pm on this board or by posting in this thread) all possible reasons for this problem - if possible, by providing the solution for the specific reason.

Something must be wrong here at home -> at work everything works fine (W2K, IE6).

But I want to access and manage my pictures from home, not from work - and this is not possible at the moment, since I'm not able to login correctly at all.

@all: Nordlicht asked me for support by PM. I replied by saying "Read my signature. I don't give individual support". Now his posting says I should be friendlier. Let me clarify this for Nordlicht and all others:
I'm doing this as a volunteer, I don't get paid - none of the coppermine staff get's paid, we're all doing this in our spare time. We have a support board to enable others to benefit from solutions posted for "original posters" - that's why asking for individual support is egoistic and won't be tolerated. After replying to thousands of requests for individual support you get a bit tired, let me assure you this. That's why I don't write a full explanation why individual support is bad, I just reply by telling users the facts. If you feel I should be friendlier, you're welcome to stay here on this board after your problem has (hopefully) been solved and start supporting it - let us see if you stay so friendly after several hundred postings.

That's odd. When I had this problem it was an error with the php.ini and it effected PHPBB2 but not SMF. I am not exactly sure what setting in php.ini causes this, but I don't think that by fixing it your service provider will be taking any risks. I would suggest comparing the recommended and the dist. versions of the php.ini and try changing some settings. Specifically, I think it's the order that some variables are set or something. Another post on here pointed me in the right direction regarding this.

I have the same problem... Well actually, not me, but an user of my galley told me she had problems logging in, and it's kind of a problem b/c I added this hack that does not allow users to view the pop-up large image unless they are registered. Anyone an idea what the problem might be?

If it is only a problem for one or two users then the cause is likely to be over zealous security settings/software on their machine, or possibly their clock is set in the past.

I had this same problem after I changed to cookie on my install.  I set it to gallery.nnbfn.net.  When I changed it back the error went away.  I am assuming that it has to to with the periods in the cookie name.

How did you change it back? I changed mine to 1337tm.com and now I cant login to change it back because of the login/cookie problem...

Open your database with something like phpmyadmin. Look for the cpg_config table and then find the field "cookie_name" and change it to whatever you want manually.

CPG 1.3.3 Standalone was working great then I upgraded PHP from 4 to 5.
Server: Windows 2003/ IIS6

I'm almost certain "in my case" this is a php.ini setting issue. I will reply when I figure it out.

Yes, "in my case" posted above, it was indeed a php.ini setting that made the difference:
changed register_long_arrays = Off to On

The change in php.ini works for me as well.
I am using PHP 5.0.5, MySQL 4.1 and IIS 6.
