Hello,

today I tried out the batch-upload for the first time and I was very dissapointed. In my opinion after a batch upload all files must dissapear from the batch-upload directory in order to be organised inside the same structure all other web uploads are, but here all files are kept inside. This does not realy fit the "batch" - definition, its mostly a "folder inclusion" or something like that. So am I forced to use the slow and unhandy web upload? Hope not 
What can I do to achieve my previously described result?

Web uploads aren't organized at all.  When uploading via the web, Coppermine creates a folder for that user and simply uploads the files to it - once the files are there, Coppermine creates thumbnails and intermediate pictures.  That's it, nothing gets moved around.  The beauty of Coppermine is that it doesn't matter where the files are actually stored, the various categories and albums in the MySQL database keep track of everything.  If you decide to move a picture to a different album, it's just a simple database change instead of physically moving the file to a different directory.  Keep in mind that albums and categories are not the same as directories.

There will never be any moving of files.  If you want some sort of directory structure, you'll have to create it yourself and ftp your files to whatever directory you want.  For example:

albums/uploads/family
albums/uploads/friends

the term "batch" is appropriate, as it means "several at a time" (which exactly is what it does); "batch" does not mean "move around".
