new users probelm

hello people
i recently removed my forums intergration and i am now setting it back up as standalone
everything is going good except when new users register and activate there account they are still in the guests group
any ideas why

If you removed your bridge completely, returning the include/init.inc.php to original, this should not happen.  Did you modify any files, and did you modify the user groups.  Coppermine itself does not have a 'guests' group, it has 'anonymous', and 'registered users'.

I noticed the activation link is incorrect. You lack a trailing slash at the end of your ecards adress in config.

I'd suggest going into the groups page in coppermine to make sure they are restored to coppermine groups.

ok i went to the groups and its coppermine gallerys
how would i change the config ?>

The 'target address.....' setting must now have a trailing slash at the end, to look something like 'http://www.yoursite.com/gallery/'. 
This is far more important than it sounds (and is being renamed in the next version).

This issue was caused by the groups becoming mixed up, though why is not known. 
Anyway, it was fixed by using the database tool to reset the groups to their original configuration.
