Get rid of user galleries
« on: September 23, 2004, 08:42:31 pm »

Hello

I'm so sorry to post this. I've searched all over the forum and can't find the correct solution to my problem.
I used coppermine a couple of months ago and because of a harddrive crash all were lost. Now I have built it up again but
can't remember one thing.

I read here in this forum a way to get rid ofh the user galleries and make the albums display directly on the main page. I know that I should turn off the ability for users to have own private galleries but there were something else, a little bit trickier, to get the gallery in this way.

Please help me, I hope you understand the problem  :o ;D

It was tricky in versions 1.2.1, where any empty albums in the category could not normally be seen by admin, but that is fixed in 1.3x.

To make the category invisible, you have to delete all albums in it, and to make sure none appear again, set all groups in the group manager so they cannot have a personnal album.  That's it.

It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here
