trying to install it (/x/install.php)

should i change cpg132_ to phpbb_ ?

if yes, i have tried it.

 gave me this error...
 
mySQL Error: Table 'phpbb_categories' already exists ( checked what's in there and found out that that's my forum categories)

should i just delete that in my database?

Please install coppermine as a standalone application first, using the default settings, in it's own directory, and with it's own tables in the database, but on the same database as the bbs.
Don't change anything at this point.  AND DO NOT delete anything from the bbs database.
Make sure it is working by itself first, do a few test uploads, create a few test users, just to make sure all is ok.
Then delete the test pics/users, and then do the bridging.
