automatic batch add - all?
« on: October 29, 2017, 11:04:23 am »

Hi, I was hoping someone can help me! Someone very mean and nasty hacked into my site and deleted 18,000+ photos in my gallery last night (and started uploading porn photos) I have finally secured the server and site now with my host. I have also found all the photo files and reupload them via ftp, all the folders both in ftp and on coppermine are still in the same place with the same names, and the stats are all still there - thank goodness. But I'm wondering is there a way to Batch Add everything automatically - rather than re add each album manually one by one (this could take a very long time with 283 and so many photos) Please can someone help me.

(I added one album called 'Captain Morgan Black Ad Screencaps' to test the batch add one by one works and it does)

Thank you, Jessica

The first thing you should do is to upgrade your CPG site to version 1.5.46 (at least).

I thought it was up to date, going by the docs. I just updated again to be sure! Any idea on ways to re add all these files without doing it one album at a time? Thank you...

Do you have a backup of your database and files from before the hack? Restoring all the files to their original locations and keeping the counts in tact etc is not an easy task without restoring from a backup. Without knowing exactly what happened and what you now have advising is not easy. The database has file names and locations, but they may not follow the structure you expect. So the file must be put back exactly where the database expects them to be.

Is it just the need to recreate the thumb and possibly intermediate pictures?
May be as simple as using the admin tools...
