Broken by PHP 7
« on: June 09, 2017, 10:38:32 pm »

I have two Coppermine sites both with version 1.5.4?
Myhosting company has just updated to PHP 7.0.19 and it immediately broke my Coppermine Galleries.
How can I update my installations to start working again.
The error messages include "Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() "  "183 Stack trace: #0 "
As I can't get to the 'Front End', I wonder if I am able to do an update using FTP ?

You will need to get your hoster to help you run PHP 5.x again.
Then update your Coppermine sites to the current 1.5.x version.
http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/upgrading.htm#upgrade_15
Followed by upgrading them to version 1.6.x.

Then you can return to using PHP 7.
