Can you upgrade my gallery?
« on: April 22, 2017, 11:31:43 am »

Can I pay some of the admins here to upgrade for me? I'm afraid to do something wrong. Auto-upgrading via softaculous is not working.

We don't recommend or support upgrades using auto installers not provided by the Coppermine Team.
We have seen issues with anything from older code to introduced errors in various packages.

You didn't provide a link to your site or current version info - but upgrades aren't typically difficult.
Yes - you can pay if you wish one of us to 'do' the upgrade... but answering questions as you do it is free.

Sent you a PM.

Hello,

Could you help me update my cpg135 gallery, I afraid to damage it,
Could you advice step by step what I have to do, thank you
First step is to look at the documentation on upgrading. (Click on 'Documentation' at top of page.)
You will need to use both the 1.4 and 1.5 documentation if you are really running a 1.3.x release - as you have to go to 1.4 first.

The complexity depends on any mods made to code - or custom theme.
1.3 to 1.4 was a major change to the theme engine... and modifications became plugins.

PM sent as well.
