error - Unable to create thumbnail or reduced sized image.
« on: November 01, 2015, 10:22:11 pm »

I never changed any settings but this error now occurs. My host claims they did not change anything. I did some forum reading and tried the following fixes but never worked:

Changing the settings of safe_mode, safe_mode_gid, silly_safe_mode, and folder permissions to 0777.

Here is the debug info, hope this helps:

Please follow the procedures outlined here - http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/upload_troubleshooting.htm#upload_trouble

It is almost certainly either a permissions problem or an ownership problem.

Hi, thanks for that. I read the page. Set to simple upload and tried again and got this:

The good news is my host seemed open to changing some server settings if that is needed. Can anyone help identify the problem from the above? If they can help me fix it, I am willing to make a small payment via paypal etc for their help. Thanks.

Posting a link and a test user account would help as the docs instruct.
Quote
In your posting, make sure to post a link to your gallery. If your gallery contains adult content (mild nudity falls into this category as well), make sure to post a warning with your link
Post the test user account details (user name and password) that you have set up above

It will also help to determine if you are on the latest release...

It looks like your host has tighter security for PHP than it may have had previously, not allowing shell execution functions now. You may have better luck under the current host circumstances by using GD instead of ImageMagick (Config->File Settings->Method for resizing images).
