Firstly i've been using the bridge fine until i was notified that people trying to use the login for the gallery side whee unable to login as it was bringing up a pop up box login method
although logging in via the forum and then visiting the gallery worked

I went to check the settings in bridgemgr.php but as its asking via the pop-up login it refused my login and the bridge is no longer bridged either

Maybe you password protected login.php or bridgemgr.php or the bridge folder in your host control panel.
In your host contol panel you have the possibility to do that. Did you do that? That kind of pop up shows when files or folders are password protected from the host control panel.

The host added a protection login for login.php i just didn't get the email
