Facebook OAuth Plugin
« on: June 20, 2014, 03:28:36 pm »

I trawled through the post below culminating with
Facebook OAuth Plugin (fb_oauth): v1.5.
here: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,65943.0.html
That thread met a brick wall more than 3 years ago.

I installed and got the plugin working as far as it returns the
user to my site, however it will not log users
into the "Facebook" default group I set up for the purpose.

I tried both manually configuring the file and through the GUI.
All I get is back to my front page. I don't think there is anything
else I need to do in my Facebook app but I have little experience with
FB apps. Something is preventing it from logging in to the Facebook group
on my site. It's supposed to register the Facebook users' emails
and register the user.

I am wondering if anyone out there has got the plugin doing
exactly what it is supposed to?

OR

Three years on is there a reliable plugin for login with Facebook
and Twitter to Coppermine?

Thanks for reading.

I solved the problem.

It would appear that Coppermine developers, contributors and users
are not interested in social authentication as a concept.

I found the solution. It took me four hours to load all
my files to a new gallery driven by Piwigo. This time
includes four social authorizations and like buttons.
Literally plug and play!

I loved Coppermine and have used it for many years but
sadly it has not kept up with the times.

It's really sad and i am sorry to be assigning Coppermine to the
has been folder.

On the Mojo Marketplace it is the only gallery which will not
install. It has to be done manually via ftp.
