Linked files - Ability for user to not have them show up in an album

A feature I'd like to request is the ability of a user (either member - via profile settings - or visitors - via a check box on the thumbnail view) to have linked items not be visible in the linked (not original) albums.

I know I have an album (of wallpapers) with 90 orignal photos and 250 linked photos from other albums.  It would be beneficial if a user could have a choice to only view the 90 photos they can't see elsewhere instead of wading through 340 if they don't want to.
