Why gif?
« on: February 05, 2012, 04:49:10 pm »

The images that I'm uploading are png files. But when I want to save the images into my own computer (just testing), all images are gif, and named "image.gif". And it doesn't save the actual image. I tried looking for a way to change it, so they images will ba saved as their original file name and type.

Help!

Disable the transparent overlay in the config, as you're downloading exactly that image file.

i was doing the same thing.
guessing your using coppermine ?

login as the administrator, and under Config > image view : uncheck the box 3rd from the bottom, ''insert a transparancy over the image to prevent theft"  as andre instructs

look here for a pic using a dark theme of the same field
