Google +1 Button Plugin
« on: October 03, 2011, 04:44:38 pm »

This plugin adds the Google +1 button below your intermediate photos.
Give me a heads up if anything gets messed up.

Plans:
I'll add configuration options in the future. For now you can visit https://developers.google.com/+/plugins/+1button/ to make changes. Just update the code to reflect.

Plugin is attached.

Updates:
Changed function name as Αndré suggested.
v1.2 fixed SWF Upload error.

It removes from the page all other social network links (if these plugins installed). Is it possible to make them compatible with others?

Please post the links to the plugins your having trouble with. You could also try ordering your plugins different in the plugin manager.

The function name add_button was maybe not the best choice. You should rename it to something more unique, e.g. plus_one_button_file_data. I don't know if this is somehow related to the issue mitko reported, nor tested the plugin.

OK i solved the problem.
I had 2 plugins:
SocialShare Plugin (socialshare): v1.2
Social Sharing (social_sharing): v1.5
Buttons of these plugins are available only if Google + button plugin is located above them in the list of plugins.
BTW formatting of google + button is not the best (see for example here: http://www.lightphotos.net/photos/displayimage.php?album=8&pid=42 )
Is it possible to add more space between photo and button and center it to the photo location?

I'll see what I can do. It is actually supposed to be left aligned on the photo. I'll take a look at those other plugins and get to work on it tomorrow.

Jeff, i've found one more serious problem: if plugin is activated multiple upload (SWF based) doesn't work. It shows some strange error message: blank with just the link to the file. Disable plug-in and everything start to work immediately. Can you check please?

My site: http://www.amdwallpapers.com/gallery

Ok the issue last mentioned has not been addressed("...if plugin is activated multiple upload (SWF based) doesn't work."). Are there any plans to correct this?

Google+ is gaining popularity and I, along with others I am sure, would love to get this plugin working and configurable.

Thanks again for the wonderful gallery and all the effort you guys put into it,
Jason

Try v1.2, problem should be fixed.
Looks like the upload still worked but the page generated an error anyway.

Thanks for the reply Jeff Bailey!

AMDwallpapers.com is for sharing artwork and wallpapers with open registration. Having errors pop up when users upload images would probably scare off a lot of users. I will leave it uninstalled until this is sorted.

Mean while I will look at Google's tools to script it and see what happens. :)

Thanks again,
Jason

I said the problem should be fixed in v1.2, I confirmed it on my testbed but would like you to make sure it works for you.
