random images and last updates taking up room
« on: September 13, 2011, 07:37:51 pm »

hello

Is it possible to remove the random images and/or last updates from the page 1 view of the gallery?  It's a nice feature, but since I have my albums going to the 2nd page, many people are not realizing that there's a page 2.  since I'd like everything viewed from one page, my albums are more important to our board than the nice feature of having random images or last uploads.

thank you

Read your docs about Setting the content of the main page.
http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/configuration.htm#admin_album_list_content

Try this plugin to make the pages look different.

And please post a link to your gallery if you need more.

Moving topic.

I'm all set with the look of the gallery now.  I have all the user gallery images moved to the main gallery and added additional albums to accommodate the members who set up their own in their private galleries, so page 2 is very much needed.  Since page 2 is almost as full as page 1, I decided I like the look of the random images and the 'last uploads', so I won't be making any changes to the look.

thank you for the info that I would have needed had I not changed my mind.
