I had the same issue see my post of 19th Sept.  What is the path to coppermine?  It needs to be something like http://www.ilcubo.net/gallery but NOT http://www.ilcubo.net/site/gallery for the bridge to work.

For the record I can get this to work with 2.5 just go to lines 290 & 291 and remove (or // out) the 2 "JRequest::_cleanArray" lines but as I said in the other post http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,74309.msg358260.html#msg358260 don't know yet what the security implications might be so ON YOUR OWN HEAD BE IT!!! :-)

hiddenvalley390,

I downloaded your tweak to the bridge joomla17-cpg15.zip.

When I try to install the component com_coppermine17.zip in Joomla 2.5 using Extension Manager, I get the following message:
Code: [Select]
A first level menu item alias cannot be 'coppermine' because 'coppermine' is a sub-folder of your joomla installation folder.
Error building Admin Menus
Component Install: DB function reports no errors
I am completely new to Joomla and Coppermine and I am using Medhi's instructions on his website.  Unfortunately, this is failing on the first step.

My Coppermine is installed in a folder called coppermine under public_html.  What am I doing wrong?

I think you need change your menu name to other thing like "Gallery", "photo", or you can change your /public_html/coppermine to /public_html/gallery.

yes, same issue, no solution, I tried joomla 2.5, the problem still existed.

I found the relative setting in joomla17.inc.php line 22 and 24, also database cpg15x_bridge, I tried change it one by one without /site, but none of them can make the login work.

did u find solution for this?
