Upgrading 1.4.9 to latest version plus shifting servers
« on: June 01, 2010, 05:30:30 am »

Hi all

In a couple of weeks we are moving servers, as the current installation of coppermine is very out of date, should i upgrade it before we shift, and move the whole site over,
Or can i just ftp the latest version of Coppermine to the new server, add the old database, config file and album directory and then run the install file.

I am just a shade worried about muffing up the permissions when i move the site

Thanks in advance

It doesn't matter if you upgrade first and then move or if you first move and then upgrade. You can not perform a fresh install though and then perform the move - that's not an option. For details, respect board rules!
