The plugin "move to public" for cpg1.5.x is a port of the plugin with the same name that was written by Αndré (aka eenemeenemuu) for cpg1.4.x

Here's the description of the plugin, taken from the announcement thread for cpg1.4.x:
Because so many people ask how they can move user albums to public categories, I made a little plugin.

Just install it like every other plugin. A new button will appear in the admin menu.
In other words: the plugin enables the admin to move albums that users have created inside their personal gallery into public (admin-created) categories.

Get the plugin from the SVN repository or download from the official download section: http://sourceforge.net/projects/coppermine/files/Plugins/1.5.x/cpg1.5.x_plugin_move-to-public_v2.1.zip/download

Side note: since cpg1.5.x it's possible to move albums that users have created inside their personal gallery into public (admin-created) categories.

The advantage of this plugin is, that you can move several albums at once. If you just want to move single albums, visit the album properties and move it like a public album.
