Upgrating from 1.3.5 to 1.4.21
« on: April 02, 2009, 10:17:13 pm »

I tried to update my gallery from 1.3.5 to 1.4.21, but when i go to the page http://.....de/update.php it takes really really long to load and when it's done i get a 500 page, it doesn't open the update page. But in my ftp there is a update file.

Even a friend tried it on his computer, but it shows the same things as i get when i try to load the page.

Can someone please help me  ???

If you follow upgrading instructions exactly as suggested in the Docs, ask your webhost, they should fix that error.

Include a link in your next post as suggested in the board rules..

when i go to the page http://.....de/update.php
Do as Fabricio suggested and post the real URL.

i get a 500 page, it doesn't open the update page. But in my ftp there is a update file.
Error 404 would mean "not found" and indicate that a file is missing. That's not the case for you: the error message "500 internal server error" means that there is something fishy with your webserver. As suggested, your webhost should be the first contact.

Even a friend tried it on his computer, but it shows the same things as i get when i try to load the page.
That's expected behaviour: an error 500 is an error on the server, not on the client. Therefor, it's totally irrelevant which client you use to access the server. The fact that you tried on a friend's computer shows that you still need to learn the basics about how the www works. As your initial posting shows that  you appear to be German I suggest reading http://de.selfhtml.org/intro/index.htm ff

Can someone please help me  ???
Sure, if you do as suggested and post a link to your gallery. Additionally, make sure that your webserver has the minimum requirements for Coppermine.

You're extremely late: support for cpg1.3.x has run out years ago - you shouldn't have kept that old version for so long.
