There is no album where you are allowed to upload files.
« on: April 30, 2004, 03:37:38 am »

You need to give permission in both the groups panel and the album properties page for an upload to occur.

File: /home/blackb2/public_html/gallery/upload.php - Line: 845  :-\\

Code: [Select]
if (in_array($file,$exclusion_list)) {
that is the line and I have no clue what that means

okay I'm past that problem, but now there is a slew of php code errors anytime I attempt to upload a picture...
they are as follows...

note: if you feel that this thread should be posted elsewhere will do so as it has no direct bearing on original subject...

Code: [Select]

The file 'albums/userpics/10002/flesh3.jpg' can't be inserted in the album

Unable to create thumbnail or reduced size image.

File: /home/blackb2/public_html/gallery/db_input.php - Line: 304

Warning: exec() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/blackb2/public_html/gallery/include/picmgmt.inc.php on line 162

Warning: chmod(): No such file or directory in /home/blackb2/public_html/gallery/include/picmgmt.inc.php on line 224

Warning: getimagesize(albums/userpics/10002/thumb_flesh3.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/blackb2/public_html/gallery/include/picmgmt.inc.php on line 226

and yes I have... I wonder that perhaps a member of your gallery development team might have a look within the gallery for me?
would this be helpful in solving the problem, because these references are to blank lines in dreamweaver... and also would you be required to logon as user or as an administrator to troubleshoot this? my website users at blackbonedstudios.com have been counting on me to make this gallery for them and I'm afraid with all these technical problems I might not be able to  :-[

thx for any assistance anyone out there can provide...
let me know how I can further provide information regarding the problem...

I have the same problem with just regular users or If I am in regular user mode. Groups panel is set correctly. Where is the album properties page? I have nothing on my gallery that say that.

Next to the album thumbnail you should see a link called Properties.  You'll see it when you or your users are logged in and are in admin mode.

Visitors can upload files must be set to yes.  Your group settings are correct.

Don't send me personal messages unless I ask.  Your question should be asked and answered here.

"Visitors can upload" is an on/off toggle.  Off means no one but the admin can upload into the album.  On means groups that are allowed to upload can upload into the album.  You have registered and administrator groups set to upload; those groups can upload into any public album that has "visitors can upload" set to yes.

I know it must be frustrating to be asked the same question over and over, but as JDT, I can upload in Admin mode, but my users can't. I'm sure my problems would be solved by that Properties option you are talking about, the really stupid part of it is that I can't find it. I don't know if it can help but I have done a print of my screen, http://gaucheproductions.com/v-web/portal/73/shadow/interface.JPG,

enable Users can can have private albums as suggested in the docs.
Read the docs, then re-read it. Then read the faq. Then search the board. If all this hasn't helped, you should post a question, but not before.

if you have exactly the same question as above, exactly the same answer applies to you as well. Do as suggested above. Concerning the language issue: you could temporarily switch to english to post "proper" error messages, or you could post on the french sub-board.

I think the confusing part is that you dont see the properties option unless you are in admin mode and you must click the Albums Link to see all available categories/albums.

Version 1.4 has done away with the switching back and forth, so users will always be in admin mode.  No more confusion.

I have exactly the same problem as above :
Sorry there is no album where you are allowed to upload files

File: /home/virtual/site16/fst/var/www/html/gallery/upload.php - Line: 845

So I set it up like this at the groups planel:
http://img324.imageshack.us/img324/2046/unbenannt25ic.jpg

But my problem is that I don't have a thumbnail next to my albums and no  link called Properties. So where can I change the properties of the albums then??

Thanks for your help!

Make sure you actually created albums, not just categories.
