Upgrade to 1.4.19
« on: August 09, 2008, 07:29:04 pm »

Hi,
Just to confirm - should I  just delete what is in jinclude/functions.inc.php on my local site, copy and paste the new version in from the Coppermine site (fixed version) then put it to the remote server? Apologies if this is obvious but I don't want to mess things up!

Thanks.

Overwrite the entire file if you just want to apply the security-related patch. For an actual upgrade (including the application of the fixes that are not security critical, but fix other things that didn't work as expected), do exactly as suggested in the upgrading of the docs we provide - this means: overwrite all files on your server with the fresh ones from the package.
Not related to install, but upgrading - moving your posting accordingly.

Thanks Joachim - realised at the last minute that it should have been on the upgrade board but didn't know how to move it. Am currently using 1.4.18 so I guess it is just a security patch job
