Coppermine x 1.4.18 bridging with vBulletin 3.7
« on: June 03, 2008, 07:13:40 pm »

Hi Guys.

I have yet another bridging question.  I did try to search through all the other posts but it did get daunting.  I am trying to bridge Coppermine x 1.4.18 with vBulletin x 3.7.  I have the vBulletin files such as index.php and login.php in the main public_html folder (www.tatznw.com/index.php).

The Coppermine is in a folder that resides in the public_html as well (www.tatznw.com/gallery).  I go through the steps in Coppermine to bridge.  When it asks for the specific type of application to bridge with the only version of vBulletin that is available is vBulletin 3.0.  So I select this and go to the next screen.

The next screen asks me “path(s) used by your BBS app”

The first box that is available says Forum URL “Full URL of your BBS app (including the leading http:// bit, e.g. http://www.yourdomain.tld/forum)”

I type in -  http://www.tatznw.com/index

The next box asks Relative path to your BBS's config file: “Relative path to your BBS, seen from your Coppermine folder (e.g. "../forum/" if your BBS is at http://www.yourdomain.tld/forum/ and Coppermine at http://www.yourdomain.tld/gallery/)”

I type in ../

The next screen asks about user post based groups. I have selected YES

The next screen asks me to enable.  Which I do

Ok so now here is the rub.  Once I do that I no longer can register, login or logout via Coppermine.

I can log in from vBulletin and then type in the URL to the gallery (there is no direct link as of yet. I was building the components before doing hard links.)  But doing that I still can’t logout of Coppermine.

I also can’t see the users from vBulletin in the Coppermine admin “users” area.

The website is www.tatz.com/index/html
The forum is www.tatz.com/index.php
The gallery is www.tatznw.com/gallery

Any help would be very much appreciated.

You need to log on to the forum first to be able to get onto the gallery with the log in.

This is definately wrong. It should read http://www.tatznw.com or maybe http://www.tatznw.com/

Everything else looks ok. But if the bridge is written for version 3.0, you might need to adjust it in order to work correctly.
