rotate pictures - failure message
« on: March 16, 2006, 01:40:10 pm »

Hi,

when I'm trying to rotate a picture I get the message

"Warning: copy(albums/edit/*.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /www/htdocs/*/picEditor.php on line 124"

How to set the permissions right? Can I do it or could it be also a problem with the webhosting company?

thanks

set permissions as suggested in the docs. Cpg1.4.x has additional features, refer to the docs again. Please respect the "one issue per thread" policy.

hmmm.....thats why I ask. I have no idea how to go on further. There were no problems yet to set the rights for the adjacent files. But I don't know how or better where to set the rights for this specific problem.

I just found another post that is related to that problem:

http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t23298.html

.....but I still don't know if I have to change the rights for the picture? I CHMOD'ed it to 777 but there is no effect in the action.....
