Accounts not recognized after bridging to SMF
« on: January 11, 2006, 01:10:57 pm »

I just installed coppermine this morning.  I then enabled the bridge module and thought everything was fine.  So I went back into the gallery and tried to login.  It directs me to SMF to login, but then, when I go back to the gallery, it doesn't recognize that I am logged in, so I can't access the admin pages.

your cookie domains differ: one has a leading www, the other hasn't. Cookie domains have to be the same, preferably .northeastatvers.com (notice the leading dot)

So how do I change it?  I can't log into coppermine at all. Do I change it in SMF?

Sorry, new to all this.

you should change it in both apps. Undo the bridge, log in with your "standalone" admin account, set things up accordingly, re-bridge. Similar thing for the bbs.

Sorry for the stupid questions but how do I undo the bridge?  Delete the entry in the bridge table in the database? Is there another entry somewhere else that enables the bridge?

Thanks, and 'll look for the cookie thing.  Can you point me in the right direction for coppermine?

I understand the problem, but I do not know where to start to correct the problem.  You said I need to change the cookie domain name, how do I do that for coppermine?  Is it an entry in the configuration table?

I am asking on the SMF site too, but where do I change the domain name in SMF (if you know)?

Ok, I found where it is in SMF, and it is http://www.northeastatvers.com/forum .   Checked in coppermine and the url is http://www.northeastatvers.com/gallery/ .  I don't understand. Aren't they the same thing?
