What does this mean?

No picture was uploaded !

If you have really selected a picture to upload, check that the server allows file uploads...

It's pretty self explanatory... have you "checked to see if your server allows uploads"?

Yes.  It does.  I did a search on the forums and I found that it could be a chmod issue, so I changed them to 777.  That's the only answers I have been able to find except for I cannot figure out where my 'upload' folder is in my coppermine.

Ok thanks.  I was also reading along and found this:
Check that at the beginning the the "include/config.inc.php" file, you have a line with : "define('SILLY_SAFE_MODE', 1);"

I looked in the include folder for config.inc.php and opened it but did not see that line.

Girlongixxer,

Well I have good news and bad news.  The good news is that this is not a permission problem.  The bad news is that this is a configuration problem.  :)  Here's what you need to do.  Ask Yahoo if they have your account configured to allow file uploads.  Their phpinfo page says that they do allow uploads, but the behavior indicates otherwise.  Essentially, all information in the upload form above the file selection box is being passed on to CPG, but the file upload box and all subsequent information is being ignored. Also, ask them if they have PHP running in a CGI wrap.  As it is getting late in Texas, I suggest that we take a break until tomorrow. Have patience, as it take some time to iron out the wrinkles in a uniquely configured server, and by undergoing these set up pains, you will help anyone else who uses Yahoo in the future.

Well, I have a full forum running off of my Yahoo account.  Users have been able to post photos on there.  I have already confirmed with Yahoo that my account is configured to handle file uploads.

If your account is configured to handle uploads, it does not do so in a normal way.  I have PMed you the details of my experiment, please PM me the response from Yahoo! before you post your reply here.

There are security issues if you give out sensitive information that was contained in that PM.

Ok, finally someone at Yahoo helped me out.  I requested they look into my actual account and tell me what I was missing regarding the upload of files.  This is their response.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Yahoo! Customer Care.

Please note in order to php upload to function, you will need to create
a 'tmp' subdirectory under your root directory.

I can now upload files to my Coppermine Gallery.  Thanks to the guys who helped me and thanks for your patience.  Hopefully those who use Yahoo webhosting will benefit from this as well!   :D

Yea! :D

Please be sure to delete that experiment.

You might also go ahead and delete the test.php file I added, too.  It's generally harmless, but you shouldn't give out any more info than necessary.
