Title: Warum wird Flash benötigt?

Hallo

Warum benötigt Coppermine Flash? Flash ist nicht mehr zeitgemäss. Wird Flash demnächst ersetzt?
Insbesondere da ich daheim Linux nutze, ist so coppermine für mich nicht nutzbar. Dabei ist Flash 11.2 installiert.

Für manche Funktionen von Coppermine wird Flash benötigt. Mir fällt da werkseitig eigentlich nur der Flash-Uploader ein. Da es aber diverse andere Möglichkeiten gibt, Dateien zu Coppermine hochzuladen, sehe ich darin kein Problem. Coppermine funktioniert auch sehr gut ohne Flash.

diverse andere Möglichkeiten? Welche denn noch, ausser dem Einzelbildupload, der relativ unkomfortabel ist?

FTP-Upload in Kombination mit der Funktion "Batch-Hinzufügen". Alternativ das HTML5-Upload-Plugin: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,75927.0.html

Hmm, ist das mit dem FTP auch ein Plugin? Denn momentan habe ich nur Flash und Einzelbild.
