I have profiled all my coppermine user with category and group to hide some album to same user and have visible some other album. Even if I have defined visible for a specific group all album are visible to everyone.
Why this happen?
Have you some suggestions?
Thanks for your help.

A users security in CPG is the sum of all groups they belong to... So if ANY group the user is attached to can view the album, then they will be able to...
I would need more specific details on your album and group definitions to provide more assistance.

Question is that:
- I created a user and I assigned to this user one group, only one group!
- I created one category with the same group name
- I created one category with the same group name
- I created the album and in the field "Album can viewed by" I inserted the line that report that it can be accessed only by "memeber of group A" where A is the group i created
If I check "Album permission by group" in the profile I see the album I assigned and another album that I didn't assigned.
I need that user profile A when access to Coppermine installation can see only 1 album.
Can you help me? If more info is needed ask!
Thanks
Stefano

If you want to hide the other albums, you need to set the permissions of that albums to a group the user isn't assigned to.

I have done in this way I created a group separate for that user and for that album..... :-\
