Title: [cpg1.5.x] Photo Summary
Post by: François Keller on October 23, 2011, 04:07:30 pm
I've ported the photo_summary plugin to cpg1.5.x

INSTALL:
unzip package to plugins folder and use plugin manager to install it

Here's what the plugin does:
It adds a menu item to Coppermine's menu  labelled "Photo Summary". If a user clicks on it, he'll be sent to a page that contains a list of all albums and all pics that reside in it (in a sort of table).
The links are clickable and will send you directly to the pics you have. When you hover your mouse pointer over one of the links that point to the individual files, a small pop-up will be displayed that contains the thumbnail and the image title and dsecription.
See attached screenshot.

CAUTION:
to work properly, your pictures must minimum have a title. If not, you can use "Updates titles from filename" feature from Admin utilities.

Hi François!
Looks like this plugin doesn't work properly for some cases.
http://www.lightphotos.net/photos/index.php?file=photo_summary/summary
In the middle of the list  you can see 8 items named Great Lakes. In fact there only 2 such albums (see on main page). What's the problem?

Works perfectly when I'm logged in as administrator but returns a database error when I'm a Guest. How can I let guests see this superb feature?

Tried altering permissions but the photo summary still reports a database error in guest mode. I'm sure it's something simple. Any ideas?
