Title: 'tooBigPicture'-error -> How to enlarge memory available to Applet?
Post by: peterlustig on May 11, 2011, 12:27:27 pm
Hi Etienne,

after having read your input on my questions on the 'maxNonTransformedPictureSize'-parameter, I gave JUpload another try, but now I am running in a different error: For pictures larger than ~10 Megapixels I get the 'tooBigPicture' error (in German it says "Das Bild XY ist zu groß und wird ohne Änderungen hochgeladen (ohne Drehung, Größenänderung...)").

I suppose this is a Java-produced error and means, that the resizing of the picture on my machine/Laptop takes more memory than is currently awarded to the Java applet. Is that correct? Is there any way to enlarge the amount of memory available to the applet?

Would be grateful for any answer, even if this might take some time ;-)

Best,
Peter

A too long response time.

I can't do anything on these errors : It's a memory issue. And it's not possible to control the memory allocated to Java, in an applet.

So the picture is sent as is to the server. No rotation, no reduction.
